New look, New Avatar, New SEO
Continuing the work of “growing this blog”, here’s the new look. You’ll notice the advertising has been moved to the right side bar, and “blog stuff” is on the left side.
In keeping with the Google Adsense requirements, there is now a Privacy Policy listed. I’ve always had a “personal privacy policy” which included the highest respect for my visitors, but had never posted it. Thanks to a WordPress Plugin it’s now posted on my blog.
I’ve also updated my 125 x 125 avatar. Like others, I tend to use a single avatar for advertising at Entrecard, Project Wonderful, Adgitize, and sites accepting OIOPubulisher. This time, I’ve gone with a simple, clean design.
As for the SEO, I found an excellent article which was very easy to understand. So far, I’ve implemented all the steps in each of three blogs. Joost Van Valk, author of Yoast - Tweaking Websites made it super easy for me to make all the necessary adjustments.
