Finally, I can share the big secret with you
Remember the other day when I told you of my frustrations trying to get some folders uploaded to my server? Well, I had to break a great big one apart, and then it all came together.
So…. here’s the big reveal.
That “guru” had told me about a WP 2.7 security flaw, and had provided a link where I could learn a whole lot more about it, as well as how to fix it.
Now, this only applies to you if you’re running a WordPress script, updated or not.
Do this test.
Go to http://ask-us.biz/wp-content/themes — What do you see?
Now, substitute your domain name for “ask-us.biz” and see what you find.
If you see a directory tree for your themes, repeat the test by replacing “themes” with “plugins”. Get the tree again? That’s not good!
This is only one serious flaw, and it’s still there in WP 2.7.
