Traffic Exchange or Exchange Traffic?
Have you ever used a traffic exchange program?
Since it’s no longer proper (not that it ever was) to ask other social bookmarking sites to exchange traffic with stumbles, diggs, etc you may want to consider an “old school” method of exchanging traffic.
Most traffic exchanges are set up for web sites, so you don’t want to put your blog page up. Besides, if you’ve monetized your blog with Google Adsense, you’d be in violation of their TOS.
The best way to utilize traffic exchanges is to create a “splash page” that builds your brand. Think of how you can effectively build your identity in a 400 x 500 area. That’s plenty of room to create interest in your site.
I don’t recommend using a “squeeze page” (that’s one that collects your viewer’s name and e-mail), as I personally find that rather rude. Better to allow your viewer to determine when to give you information.
So, how do you find these “traffic exchanges”? Stay tuned and I’ll share another whole world of driving traffic.

Amen on that, Dirk. With only a few seconds per view, you really can’t effectively sell anything… but you can generate interest.

I agree with Admin about using Splash Pages and do not advertise Blogs here.
I want to ad that Traffic Exchanges should be used to build lists and to advertise other free traffic sites but not to do hard selling.
